An out-of-work widower who abandoned nine of his children at a hospital under Nebraska's new safe haven law said he was overwhelmed without his wife and just "fell apart."

- The old adage "out of sight, out of mind" explans this countries mode of thinking. So while I agree with you about giving this woman what she wants, I hope the press covers her story more because her story I feel, will be the straw that breaks the welfare camel's back.

- HAHA, you people make me laugh. Two months ago, the same people who said "it take a village to raise a child" when that one dad dropped of his 8 kids at a hospital in Nebraska are the same people who are chastising this sorry excuse for a person. At least she wants her kids.

Nebraska you did it right. We're overseas. I always see bad events that happen in the states hit international news I just wish this story would. This law will save lives. Remember the second of the two most important commandments. All children are important, regardless of age.
